Unwallet keeps your payments private and your funds productive. For our mission and vision, see the Introduction.

What is x402?

x402 is a payment standard that uses stealth addresses to enhance privacy and security for blockchain transactions. With x402, your payments are unlinkable and your financial activity remains confidential.
Stealth addresses allow you to receive payments without exposing your public address. Each payment is sent to a unique, one-time address derived from your stealth address.

Payment Flow Overview

  1. Get your stealth address: Your wallet or payment app provides you with a stealth address (looks like a regular address, but is special!).
  2. Share your stealth address: Give your stealth address to anyone who wants to pay you. You can display it as a QR code or copy-paste it.
  3. Sender creates a payment: The sender uses your stealth address to generate a unique one-time address for this payment only.
  4. Payment is sent: The sender transfers funds to the one-time address. Only you can detect and spend from this address.
  5. You receive funds: Your wallet automatically scans for payments to your stealth address and shows your updated balance.
You never need to generate a new address for each payment—your wallet handles everything!

Step-by-Step: Receiving a Payment

  1. Open your wallet and find your stealth address (usually in the “Receive” section).
  2. Share your stealth address with the sender.
  3. Wait for the payment. Your wallet will notify you when funds arrive.
  4. Spend your funds as usual—your privacy is preserved!

Step-by-Step: Sending a Payment

  1. Get the recipient’s stealth address.
  2. In your wallet, choose “Send” and enter the stealth address.
  3. Enter the amount and confirm the transaction.
  4. The wallet generates a one-time address and sends the payment.
  5. The recipient’s wallet will detect and display the payment.
You can use Unwallet for donations, payroll, subscriptions, agent-to-agent payments, or any situation where privacy and yield matter.
